Meet Troy Kane

Founder
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor

Troy brings more than two decades of counseling experience to his work with adults and children. As the founder of The Counseling Clinic, he values getting to know the person behind the concerns that bring them to counseling.

His approach begins with listening. Together, you can explore what matters to you, recognize your strengths, and develop practical ways to navigate challenges at a pace that feels manageable.

Approach and Experience

Troy combines practical counseling strategies with a compassionate space to reflect and build skills. You are encouraged to ask questions and take an active role in the process.

His approach draws on mindfulness, cognitive behavioral theory, and experience with animal-assisted therapy. He holds a certificate in Wilderness Therapy for Mental Health Professionals from Outward Bound.

Alongside his clinical work, Troy develops continuing education for counselors and mental health professionals and writes about mental health for children and adults.
